Providing the best possible education to our 4000 children during their formative years requires Board members to make wise and sometimes difficult decisions. I have the ability and desire to serve our children by taking on this responsibility.

LASD has proven to be the top school district in the state by objective measurements. To sustain the academic excellence our community expects and our children deserve, we need to:

  • Insure we continue to attract and retain the highest quality teachers and principals;
  • Improve the annual budget process by linking percentage increases in total compensation to percentage increases in district revenues;
  • Initiate a process of benchmarking our schools against the best schools in the nation to identify new ideas and best practices, allowing us to reach even higher levels of performance;
  • Develop a plan and allocate the funds to vigorously maintain newly renovated campuses
As the parent of two young children, I will dedicate myself to achieving these goals. Due to my extensive involvement with the school district, I have gained a breadth of understanding of educational issues at the classroom, school, and district level. This knowledge, combined with my strong educational and business background, provides me with the ability to make the right decisions for our school district.
